Lani is primarily a cellist and session artist but is also an accomplished singer, actress, teacher and manager of a number of other projects and bands.

2007-2015 – Worked as a Drama teacher at The American International school of JHB
2013 – Recorded for Just music on the album for Tailor The Dark Horse
2012 – A recorded soundtrack for the movie Material with Abdullah Ibrahim
2012 – Launched a new project; Soozie and the Cheesewagon with acclaimed artist, singer and performer Tiaan Rautenbach
2012 – Lani became the full-time sidekick to Laurie Levine
2012 – Was a backing artist for the CD launch by the artist Anais
2012 – Featured as a backing vocalist on a new album by the winner of SA Pop Idols, produced by Dan Roberts
2011 – Was a backing artist on Laurie Levine’s album Six Winters
2010 – Featured as a backing artist on the track To Amber by Cortina Whiplash; their first official video release.
2009 – Lead role The Dykumentary film for the South African Out in Africa film festival
2008 – Was a member of the band Ménage à Trois and can be seen playing her cello in the official music video October Finds Me
2007 – Featured as a backing artist on the music video Closure by J
2007 – Supporting act (Electro Muse) to John Legend at Sun City
2006 – 2011 – Lani was a member of an electric string quartet called Electro Muse
2006 -2008– Appeared on television doing various roles as a cellist and actress on shows like Glitterati, Strictly Come Dancing (Live Cello), Kompleks 2 Kwela, Noted, Society, Kompleks and Blikskottel
2004- 2007- Various roles on Television for Mnet, SABC and Kyknet
2001-2004- Freelance actress in various children’s theatre productions
1994-1998- Member of the West-rand Youth Orchestra
1994-1998- 2nd Lead Cellist in the Roodepoort HS Orchestra
